This page explains the limited tracking PotterLandia uses and how to control it. It is not legal advice.

The short version

We use a Meta (Facebook) advertising pixel and browser storage (localStorage) — but the pixel loads only after you click “Accept” in the consent banner. If you click “Decline”, we do not load it. Browsing stays free either way.

What we use

• Meta pixel (third-party tracking). If you accept, a Meta pixel (ID 987654321098765) loads and reports standard events — a page view, and a “Lead” event if you submit a listing or join the waitlist. This helps us measure ads. Meta may use this data for its own purposes per Meta’s policies.
• localStorage (your choice). We store a single value — “granted” or “declined” — so we remember your choice and don’t re-ask on every visit. It is not used to identify you.
• Service-worker cache. If you install the site as a web app, your browser caches site files locally for speed. This is a browser feature you can clear in your settings.
• Google Fonts. Our typefaces are requested from Google’s servers; Google may log those requests per its own policy.

Your choices

• Accept or decline here. The consent banner lets you opt in or out. Clearing your browser storage will show the banner again so you can re-choose.
• Meta ad settings. To control how Meta uses your data for ads (independent of this site), visit facebook.com/settings?tab=ads.

How the pixel loads (or doesn’t)

The pixel is not loaded in the page at all until you accept. If you accept, it loads on your current and future visits until you clear your choice. If you decline, nothing loads. You can change your mind later by clearing the site’s data in your browser and re-choosing in the banner.
